"You've Already Won"

Verse
There's peace that outlasts darkness
Hope that's in the blood
There's future grace that's mine today
That Jesus Christ has won

So I can face tomorrow
For tomorrow's in Your hands
All I need You will provide
Just like You always have

Chorus
I'm fighting a battle
You've already won
No matter what comes my way
I will overcome
I don't know what You're doing
But I know what You've done
I'm fighting a battle
You've already won

Verse
There's mercy in the waiting
Mana for today
And when it's gone I know you're not
You are my hope and stay
When the sea is raging
Your Spirit is my help
He'll fix my eyes on Jesus Christ
And I'll say that is well
Oh I know that it is well

Chorus
I'm fighting a battle
You've already won
No matter what comes my way
I will overcome
I don't know what You're doing
But I know what You've done
I'm fighting a battle
You've already won

Bridge
I know how the story ends
We will be with You again
You're my Savior my defense
No more fear in life or death
(Repeat)
I know how this story ends

Chorus
I'm fighting a battle
You've already won
No matter what comes my way
I will overcome
I don't know what You're doing
But I know what You've done
I'm fighting a battle
You've already won
I'm fighting a battle
You've already won

"I Believe"

From the beginning
You've been unchanging
Age to age You stay
Constant You remain

Every mystery
The questions I've carried
Are safe within Your will
So I trust You even still

Chorus
I believe
You are who You say You are
You do what You say You'll do
You'll come through,
You are always able
I believe
You've already made a way
So I'm running through parted waves
Straight to You, You are always faithful

Verse
Jesus, You're for me
Holding me steady
Every word You speak
Is a promise that You keep
This firm foundation
Cannot be shaken
My God, You never fail
Never once, You never will

Chorus
I believe
You are who You say You are
You do what You say You'll do
You'll come through,
You are always able
I believe  You've already made a way
So I'm running through parted waves
Straight to You, You are always faithful
I believe, I believe

Bridge
That on that cross
Your blood was spilled
And by Your stripes
I have been healed
And every promise You've fulfilled
I believe, I believe

That You rose again in victory
And that same power lives in me
I'm born again, I've been made free
I believe, I believe

That the gates of hell will not prevail
Your church is still alive and well
This gospel truth I live to tell
I believe,  I believe

That one day soon You'll split the sky
You're coming for a spotless bride
Until my faith has been made sight
I believe, I believe

Chorus
I believe
You are who You say You are
You do what You say You'll do
You'll come through,
You are always able
I believe  You've already made a way
So I'm running through parted waves
Straight to You, You are always faithful
I believe  I believe

Outro
And on that day, I've run my race
I'll finally see You face to face
And nothing then will separate
I believe, I believe
I'll join with every tribe and tongue
And bow before the Lamb of God
Singing Holy, Holy, Holy One
I believe, I believe

"Jesus paid it all"

Verse 1
I hear the Savior say
Thy strength indeed is small
Child of weakness
Watch and pray
Find in Me thine all in all

Chorus
Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Verse 2
Lord now indeed I find
Thy power and Thine alone
Can change a leopards spots
And melt a heart of stone

Chorus
Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Verse 3
And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete
Jesus died my soul to save
My lips shall still repeat

Chorus
Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Bridge
Oh praise the One who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead
Oh praise the One who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead

Chorus
Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

"Goodness of God"

I love You, Lord
For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

Chorus
All my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

Verse
I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night You are close like no other
I've known You as a Father
I've known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God, yeah

Chorus
All my life You have been faithful,
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

Bridge
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
With my life laid down, I surrendered now
I give You everything, oh Lord
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
(Repeat)

Chorus
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God

Sermon: "Hospitality is the Way of the Gospel"

Date: 6/15/2025
Preacher: Steven Warren
Series: "Set The Table"
Title: "Hospitality is the way of the gospel"

What is the problem with the world?
We are hostile toward each other. Our hostility creates hardship in our relationships

Big Idea: Hospitality is the way of friendship in a world of hardship

“Hospitality is making space for others to belong before they believe.” — Jeff Vanderstelt

Scripture:
John 6:1-14, 31-37 Leviticus 19:33-34; Hebrews 13:2

John 6:1-5
1 After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. 2 And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick. 3 Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples. 4 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand. 5 Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him,

Leviticus 19:33-34
33 “When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. 34 You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

John 6:5-10
Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?” 6 He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do. 7 Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little.” 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to him, 9 “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?” 10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number.

Jesus’ response: He sets the table

He chooses friendship instead of succumbing to hardship.

John 6:11-14
11 Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.” 13 So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten. 14 When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, “This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!”

How Does Jesus Show Hospitality?

1. He sets the table

2. He gives thanks to God for His provision

3. He shares what he has

4. God provides over and above!!!

5. The disciples are blessed for serving

6. People lift their eyes to Jesus.

John 6:33-37
33 For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” 34 They said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.” 35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

Can you help people leave a world of hardship through entering into friendship?

CALL TO ACTION: Will You Set the Table?

Hebrews 13:2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
